At Up To You Foundation, we believe that meaningful change happens through collaboration. We are always open to partnering with organizations, businesses, government institutions, and community groups that share our commitment to creating measurable and lasting impact. By combining knowledge, resources, and expertise, we strive to develop projects that deliver effective results and contribute to a more sustainable future.
Some of our collective impact projects include:
Through our Cleanup Days, we bring together volunteers, communities, and partners to take direct action against litter and plastic pollution. These initiatives not only help create cleaner public spaces, but also raise awareness, encourage community engagement, and inspire long-term environmental responsibility. Over the years, we have organized multiple cleanup activities across Suriname, mobilizing hundreds of volunteers and removing significant amounts of waste from the environment.
Educational workshops have been at the core of Up To You Foundation’s work since its establishment. To date, we have delivered workshops in more than 40 schools across Suriname, covering topics such as plastic pollution, waste management, and sustainability.
Through partnerships with organizations such as Cultuurfonds and Baitali Group, we have combined education with practical action, including the distribution of reusable products and environmental awareness initiatives.
Our workshops use interactive learning and gamification, including quizzes, challenges, competitions, and hands-on activities, making environmental topics more engaging and easier to understand.
Today, we prioritize integrating workshops into larger projects whenever possible, allowing us to create greater impact, measure behavioral change, and collect valuable data for future initiatives.

The U2Y Plastic Challenge: Albergaschool Edition was a three-month educational and behavioral change project fully funded by Baitali Group and implemented by Up To You Foundation to explore how environmental education can influence plastic waste habits among students and their households.
Working with approximately 180 students, the project combined educational sessions, a plastic collection challenge, and structured data collection to measure both participation and behavioral change over time. Throughout the project, students collected more than 560 kilograms of plastic waste, while surveys and monitoring activities provided valuable insights into recycling behavior, plastic consumption, environmental awareness, and the factors that influence sustainable habits.
The project demonstrated that awareness can contribute to measurable behavioral change, while also highlighting important barriers such as transportation, parental involvement, and long-term motivation.
Following the completion of the project, Up To You Foundation organized the Impact in Action Seminar, where the project’s findings, data, and key insights were officially presented to stakeholders. The seminar brought together a distinguished audience, including government representatives, private sector leaders, NGOs, and sustainability professionals. Among the attendees were two government ministers, company directors, and other influential stakeholders, who participated in meaningful discussions on waste management, behavioral change, sustainability, and the future of environmental action in Suriname.
A highlight of the event was an engaging panel discussion featuring experts from different sectors, creating a valuable platform for knowledge sharing, collaboration, and dialogue around practical solutions for waste management and sustainability challenges in Suriname.
